as salaam alaykum

This is a recipe of another family favourite at Eid, and really easy:

250 g butter

1 cup chopped nuts

3/4 cup castor sugar

1 cup dessicated coconut/1cup puffed rice cereal

enough flour to make a soft dough

Method:

Cream sugar and butter, add nuts/coconut/puffed rice. Add flour and knead into a soft dough. Press and cut out shapes, bake at 180 deg C until slightly golden. When cool decorate with melted chocolate/ sprinkles or even a dusting of icing sugar.
