my super easy RASMALAAI recipe

I modified a recipe and this is the one that turned out the best.

Ingredients

1 tsp ground cardamom

1 1/3 cup milk powder (I used a 2/3 cup measurement twice)

1 tsp baking powder

2 tblsp self raising flour

2 medium eggs

about a tblsp oil (if necessary, if the dough isn’t soft)

ground pistachio

sliced pistachios and almonds

about 2 litres milk and condensed milk to taste (as sweet as you like it really)

  1. Sift dry ingredients and add eggs to make a soft dough. if not soft enough add the oil.
  2. Bring milk to boil in a wide, large pan and add the condense milk… according to your taste, and the ground cardamom.
  3. Shape the dough into flat patties about the size of a 50p coin. (they will expand when cooking, a lot) Drop the patties into the milk and let it boil and cook, turn them over in about 10 minutes, watching it doesn’t boil over.
  4. After about another 10 minutes, check one to see if they’re cooked throughout and if not just leave it to boil for longer. Usually its when 1/4 of the milk has reduced.
  5. Garnish with the sliced nuts and ground almonds.
  6. Serve chilled and enjoy =)
